About Us

We started this because ordering coffee shouldn't require a math degree.

Here’s what kept happening: you’d order your usual, swap the milk, add a pump of something, and the calorie count you saw online never matched what you actually drank. Starbucks publishes nutrition data for the standard recipe. Almost nobody orders the standard recipe. So the gap between “what’s printed” and “what’s in your cup” just kept growing — and nobody was closing it.

That’s what calccalorie does. You build your actual order — size, milk, syrup, extras — and we run the numbers for exactly that combination. Not the default. Yours.

Who's Behind This

Ryan Cole handles the content and nutrition accuracy side of things here. His work is straightforward: check every drink entry against Starbucks’ own published data, catch anything that’s changed, and keep the calculator honest.

Beyond Ryan, a small team maintains the database itself, pulling new menu items, updating seasonal drinks, and fixing anything that looks off. Nobody here works for Starbucks, and nobody’s paid by them either. We’re independent, and we’d rather stay that way.

How We Actually Do This

Every number traces back to one source: Starbucks’ official nutrition disclosures. We don’t estimate from guesswork or scrape random blog posts. Each ingredient — every milk type, every syrup pump, every topping — gets its own value in our system, pulled directly from what Starbucks makes public.

When Starbucks changes something (new seasonal drink, reformulated recipe, whatever), we update within 48 hours. Not because a rule says we have to. Because outdated numbers defeat the entire point of this tool.

One honest caveat, though — baristas are people, not machines. Pours vary a little from store to store. So treat every result here as a close, reliable estimate. Not a lab measurement.

Why This Exists

Look, calorie tracking apps exist. Nutrition databases exist. But most of them treat a “Grande Latte” as one fixed thing, when in reality it’s a hundred different drinks depending on what you change. We built calccalorie around that reality instead of ignoring it.

If you’re watching sugar, tracking macros, managing a health condition, or just curious what your order actually costs you calorie-wise — this is built for that. No account required. No paywall on the basic numbers. Just the tool.

Got Something to Add?

Missing a drink? Found a number that looks wrong? Tell us. We read every message, and if something's off, we fix it — usually within a couple of days.
