Fruity, pink-orange, and lighter than almost anything else on the menu, with actual flavor to it – a Grande Mango Dragonfruit Refresher sits close to 90 calories, less than most people expect from something this photogenic. The base drink is simple: mango and dragonfruit flavoring, real freeze-dried dragonfruit pieces, hand-shaken with ice. Add coconut milk […]

Three shots of espresso, shaken hard with ice until it foams – that’s the whole base. Everything after that – brown sugar, oat milk, vanilla – is what actually decides the calorie count. Starbucks Iced Shaken Espresso launched as the plain version first, then the Brown Sugar Oatmilk build became the one everyone actually orders.

Everyone’s “safe” order at some point. Not too sweet, not too bold, easy to default to. The calorie count mostly backs that up, too. It’s one of the more reasonable flavored lattes on the menu, though the sugar-free protein version changes the math entirely. Grande, 2% milk, standard build – close to 250 calories. And

Funny story behind this one, actually. It began as a secret-menu trick back in 2016 – people were ordering a Strawberry Açaí Refresher and asking baristas to swap the water for coconut milk. Enough people kept doing it that Starbucks eventually just… made it official. Now it’s all over Instagram, one of the most photographed

Steeped for hours, served over ice, and somehow still one of the lowest-calorie drinks on the entire menu – that’s the whole appeal of Cold Brew, and it holds up pretty well once you actually check the numbers. Plain Cold Brew sits close to zero calories no matter the size, which is rare for anything

Fall shows up, and so does the PSL – same order every single September, without much thought given to what’s actually in the cup. Turns out, quite a lot. A Grande Pumpkin Spice Latte comes in at close to 390 calories. Coffee’s barely part of the story here – milk and espresso, the same base

Same espresso. Same milk and Same caramel drizzle on top. And somehow the number swings by 90 calories depending purely on size and milk – nothing else about the drink even changes. Strip away the marketing, and a caramel macchiato is just espresso, steamed milk, vanilla syrup, caramel drizzled over the top — layered, not

Matcha sounds lighter than a regular latte. The numbers don’t always agree. Half the people who order it assume there’s no caffeine in the cup at all. Wrong, though it’s an easy mistake – matcha doesn’t announce itself the way a shot of espresso does. The other half assume “green tea” automatically means healthier, lighter,

Chai sounds healthy. Spices, tea, that warm cinnamon smell – nothing about it screams “dessert.” The sugar number says otherwise, and most people never actually look. More sugar than most people would guess, honestly, for something sold as a tea drink rather than a coffee dessert. Starbucks did trim the recipe back in 2026 –

Two hundred calories sounds simple enough on paper. Then you’re standing at the counter, staring up at the menu board, trying to remember which drink was supposed to be the safe pick. Truth is, most people don’t even check. Same order every time, out of habit, and the number just rides along unquestioned. Here’s the
